Tale of Three Old Men

Sometimes non real or fictional tales carries wonderful meanings. Here I am sharing one, meaningful and full of insight. Once there were three old men. They were hungry, so they knocked the door of a house. A lady came out and asked them to come inside the house and have food.

Instead of entering the house, they raised a point.They said that they have some agreement, according to which only one out of three can go inside the house. The lady was surprised hearing their words and asked the reason behind.

They replied “We are Wealth, Success and Love. You can invite any one among us”. They lady got confused. She said that she want to consult someone before deciding whom to invite. She went inside and asked her husband. Hearing options, Husband was overjoyed, “How nice is it. Invite wealth, our house will be filled with wealth”. His wife disagreed, “Dear why don’t we invite success. We will be successful in life”. Hearing their conversation, their little daughter jumped with her suggestion, “I wish that we should invite love. Our house will be filled with love”.

After sometime she came and invited ‘Love’ among them. The old man, named 'Love' got up and followed the lady. Lady was extremely surprised when she saw that instead of waiting outside; other two old men also got up and followed them. She asked “I have invited only ‘Love’, why both of you are coming now”.

In reply what all said is really theme of this tale. They said “If you would have invited Wealth or Success, the other two have stayed outside. But where ever ‘Love’ goes, we also go with him”.

Love is so powerful thing in our life that it can make everything possible. Wealth and success is certainly important in life but only ‘Love’ has power to touch our souls. If you have love in life, it can make up for great many things you lack but if you don’t have it, no matter what else there is, it is not enough. Love can make things happen without logics. It can unlock doors and open windows that weren’t even there before.
